Neomycin 332000 IU (equivalent to 500 mg of neomycin sulphate).

Swine, rabbits.

Swine: treatment and prevention of colibacillosis and intestinal salmonellosis, caused by strains of E. coli and Salmonella spp. respectively, sensitive to neomycin.

Rabbits: treatment and prevention of colibacillosis caused by strains of E. coli sensitive to neomycin.

Administration in drinking water.

Swine: 25 mg of neomycin sulphate (16600 IU of neomycin)/kg b.w./day (equivalent to 0.5 g of medicine/10 kg b.w./day), for 3-5 days.

Rabbits: 75 mg of neomycin sulphate (49800 IU of neomycin)/kg b.w./day (equivalent to 1.5 g of medicine/10 kg b.w./day), for 5 days.

Medicated water must be renewed or replaced every 24 hours.

Medicated water should be the only source of drinking water during the treatment period.

Swine: 3 days.
Rabbits: 0 days.
