Tylosin 200 mg.
Target species
Bovine (beef cattle), pigs.
Indications
Treatment of infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to tylosin:
Bovine:
- Respiratory infections caused by Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia haemolytica and Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
- Diphtheria caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum.
- Metritis caused by Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
Swine:
- Pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida.
- Arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosynoviae.
Dosage and administration route
Intramuscular injection
Cattle: 10-20 mg tylosin/kg b.w./day (equivalent to 0.5-1 ml of medication/10 kg b.w.), for 5 consecutive days.
Porcine: 10-20 mg tylosin/kg b.w./day (equivalent to 0.5-1 ml of medication/10 kg b.w.), for 5 consecutive days.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 5 days.
Withdrawal period
Cattle:
- Meat: 23 days.
- Milk: Not permitted for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
Swine:
- Meat: 16 days.
